All across Eretz Yisrael, Jews were davening with tears and strong emunah (faith), and those tefillos brought miracles. The stories in this book are not only about bravery, but also about believing in Hashem, even when things are hard. They show us that Hashem was there every step of the way watching over and protecting His people. Even though there was a lot of pain and sadness on Simchas Torah that year, we must always remember that Eretz Yisrael is the safest place in the world, because "the eyes of Hashem are always watching it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year."
